A few useful answers
If your question is not here, write to hello@lecabinetnoir.com. We are happy to help.
What is a fragrance decant?
The original fragrance, transferred from its bottle into a smaller glass vial. Nothing is diluted or mixed. A decant lets you get to know a scent over several wears, or keep a favorite in a smaller size.
Are your decants authentic?
We fill our decants from original fragrance bottles. Each vial carries a lot number that connects it to the bottle used. If you have a question about a particular fragrance or lot, email hello@lecabinetnoir.com.
Which size should I choose?
Choose 1 ml for a first impression, 2 ml for several wears, or 5 ml for more time to explore. The 10 ml size suits a fragrance you reach for often. Available sizes are shown on each product page.
How long will a decant last?
It depends on the sprayer and how much you apply. We give the fill in milliliters rather than promise a spray count. For a first try, 2 ml gives you room to wear a fragrance on several occasions.
How do you fill the vials?
We work with one fragrance at a time, fill to the stated volume, then cap and label each vial. Bottles are stored cool, dark, and upright.
Do you sell full bottles?
We sell decants in 1, 2, 5, and 10 ml. Original bottles pictured on the site identify the fragrance; your order arrives in a Cabinet Noir vial.
Where do you ship, and what does it cost?
We ship within the United States by USPS Ground Advantage. Shipping is $9, or free on orders of $75 or more before tax. Orders are filled and shipped within 2 business days and usually arrive 2 to 5 business days later. Each order is packed in a sealed bag with absorbent material.
Is there a gift with my order?
Orders with a merchandise subtotal of $100 or more include a complimentary 10 ml luxury-inspired hand sanitizer. It is added automatically; no code is needed.
Are you affiliated with the fragrance houses?
No. Cabinet Noir is an independent shop, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any fragrance house named on this site. We fill and sell our own decants.
Is selling decants legal?
Yes. Reselling a genuine product you have purchased is permitted, and we name the original fragrance because that is the only accurate way to describe what is in the vial. Cabinet Noir is independent, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any fragrance house named on this site, and every product page and label says so plainly.
How do you choose the collection?
We look for distinctive scents and a range of styles worth exploring, from established favorites to recent releases and less familiar houses.
Can I return a decant?
Decants are filled by hand from opened bottles, so every sale is final. If a decant arrives leaked, broken, or not what you ordered, email hello@lecabinetnoir.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo, and we will replace it or refund it. You do not need to send it back.
