Privacy policy
We collect only what we need to fill your order and answer you, and we do not sell it.
What we collect
- When you order: your email address and what you bought. Your name, shipping address and payment details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout page; we receive your shipping address to send the order, but never your card number.
- When you join the list or ask to hear when a fragrance is back: your email address and, if you choose one, the fragrance you are waiting for.
- When you write to us: your email and whatever you include in your message.
- When you browse: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability. Your cart is saved in your own browser's storage, not on our servers.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and no third party tracks you across the site. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page to process payment and prevent fraud.
How we use it
To fill and ship orders, send order and shipping updates, answer messages, tell you when a fragrance you asked about is back, and send the occasional email you signed up for. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.
Who processes it for us
- Stripe, for payments and checkout.
- Vercel, which hosts the website.
- Supabase, which hosts our order and sign-up database.
- Cloudflare, which handles our domain and forwards email sent to us.
- The postal carrier, which receives your name and address to deliver your order.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Sign-up emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
Your choices
Email hello@lecabinetnoir.com to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, wherever you live in the United States. We will answer within 30 days. We may keep order records the law requires us to keep.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
