The composition

Crisp pear and a green edge introduce Yawahada before milk and fine rice powder soften the opening. Rose and jasmine add a delicate floral layer, with musk, sandalwood, and amber warming the creamy drydown.

Texture is the attraction here: the freshness of fruit giving way to the softness of powder and warm skin. Quiet and intimate in character, Yawahada is best appreciated up close, especially if you enjoy gentle musks and milky scents.

How it wears

Yawahada is a quiet, close scent for daytime and for anyone who prefers fragrance that stays near the skin. Fragrantica voters lean toward spring and daytime. The pear and green notes are vivid at first and fade within about an hour, Fragrantica's review notes, leaving milk, rice powder and soft musk. Parfumo voters rate its longevity above its sillage, and reviewers often call it a skin scent.

Compared with

Tender PeachJ-Scent
A J-Scent sibling with a similar soft, musky finish. Tender Peach centers on peach with green citrus, tuberose and raspberry; Yawahada moves from a brief pear opening to milk and rice powder.
Milk MuskMolton Brown
A Parfumo reviewer who wore the two side by side found them close in shape: pear, milk and musk. Milk Musk adds vanilla, ambroxan and tonka; Yawahada is lighter, with a ricey powder in their place.

Questions about Yawahada

What does Yawahada mean?

Yawahada is Japanese for soft or tender skin, and J-Scent also sells it under the English name Soft Skin. The name fits the scent: pear and green notes at first, then milk, rice powder and musk that read like clean, powdered skin.

Who makes Yawahada?

Yawahada is by J-Scent, a Japanese fragrance house. Fragrantica describes it as J-Scent's most popular fragrance in Japan, and Parfumo records the Eau de Parfum as a 2017 release, marketed by the Japanese company LUZ.

Is Yawahada a perfume oil or an Eau de Parfum?

J-Scent sells Yawahada today as an Eau de Parfum, which is the version we list. Parfumo also records an earlier Yawahada perfume oil, which it marks as apparently discontinued.

Is Yawahada unisex?

Yes. Fragrantica and Parfumo both list Yawahada as a fragrance for women and men, and Luckyscent describes it as a unisex skin musk. Its pear, milk and rice powder accord is soft and clean rather than overtly floral.
