The composition
Oud Bleu Intense opens cool: mandarin and cardamom with a pinch of nutmeg, airy enough to suggest a sea breeze. Then the resins arrive. Frankincense, myrrh and amber warm the middle, and a smooth oud settles underneath with benzoin and sweet opoponax.
It is fresh and resinous at once, and that contrast is the charm. Pick it if you like blue, breezy scents and want one with depth, or if you want an oud that feels at home in daylight.
How it wears
Oud Bleu Intense is an oud that feels at home in daylight, and reviewers find it easy to wear in any season. The cool mandarin and cardamom start gives way to frankincense and myrrh, which lend a pine-like lift before amber and benzoin warm the base. The oud stays in a supporting role throughout. Parfumo voters rate its longevity a little above its sillage.

Yes. Fragrance Du Bois sometimes shortens the name to Oud Bleu in its own description, but Oud Bleu Intense is the only version in its Shades Du Bois collection. The house's site lists no lighter, non-Intense Oud Bleu.
