The composition
Aventus opens bright and juicy: bergamot, lemon and blackcurrant, then pineapple with a lift of pink pepper. As it settles, birch smoke and patchouli move in, and the fruit dries down into a clean, slightly smoky musk.
It set a style many houses have followed since, and wearing the original makes the reference point clear. Batches vary a little, some fruitier and some smokier, which is part of the interest of trying one.

Is Aventus an Eau de Parfum?
Yes. Creed labels Aventus as an Eau de Parfum. Aventus Cologne and Absolu Aventus are separate fragrances built on the same idea, not the same formula at another strength.
Why do Aventus batches smell different?
Creed says each batch of Aventus is mixed by hand, macerated and matured in France and left unfiltered, and that natural ingredients vary with supply. Wearers often describe some batches as fruitier and others as smokier.
