The composition

Tobacco Vanille opens on sweet, honeyed tobacco leaf warmed with ginger and a pinch of spice. Vanilla and tonka soon pour in, rich and creamy, with a dusting of cocoa, while dried fruit and sweet wood sap give the base a dark, syrupy depth.

It feels like a leather armchair in a quiet private club, plush and a little decadent. A natural pick for cold evenings, and for anyone who loves vanilla with real depth.

How it wears

Tobacco Vanille is a cold-weather scent, at its best on autumn and winter evenings. The spiced tobacco leads early, then vanilla, tonka and cocoa take over, and a dried-fruit sweetness stays to the end. Parfumo voters rate its longevity and sillage high, and reviewers describe it as thick and sweet, so a light hand goes a long way.

Compared with

Tobacco Vanille ParfumTom Ford
A separate Parfum released in 2026, not a stronger bottle of the same formula. It leans on a whiskey cask accord and oak alongside tobacco and vanilla. The Eau de Parfum is the sweeter, creamier one, with cocoa, tonka and dried fruit.
Tobacco OudTom Ford
A Private Blend sibling from 2013 that keeps the tobacco but makes it smoky, with oud, incense, patchouli and sandalwood. Tobacco Vanille is the sweet one, built on vanilla, tonka and cocoa.

Questions about Tobacco Vanille

Is Tobacco Vanille Parfum the same as Tobacco Vanille?

No. Tobacco Vanille is the original Eau de Parfum from 2007, built on tobacco leaf, vanilla, tonka and cocoa. Tom Ford's newer Tobacco Vanille Parfum adds a whiskey cask accord and oak extract for a woodier, boozier take. We sell the Eau de Parfum.

Is Tobacco Vanille discontinued?

No. Tobacco Vanille Eau de Parfum is still part of Tom Ford's Private Blend line and is sold on tomfordbeauty.com and at Sephora, among other US retailers.

Is Tobacco Vanille unisex?

Yes. Tobacco Vanille belongs to Tom Ford's Private Blend line, and Fragrantica and Parfumo both list it as a fragrance for women and men. Tom Ford launched it in 2007.

Who made Tobacco Vanille?

Tom Ford does not credit a perfumer for Tobacco Vanille. Fragrantica and Parfumo name Olivier Gillotin, and CaFleureBon's 2013 review of the Private Blend line credits him with it as well.
